If the song itself sounds familiar, it may be because Mahalia sampled dancehall artist Beanie Man's 1998 hot track "Who Am I (Sim Simma)." In the music video or "Simmer," Mahalia is shown in a red-laced atmosphere as she belts out her sweet vocals. This week, Disney is set to release The Lion King soundtrack, produced by Beyonce and packed with Afrobeats artists including Yemi Alade, Tekno, Mr. Eazi, Burna Boy and Wizkid. Rick Ross has announced a release date for his 10th album Port of Miami 2. The long-awaited sequel to his debut arrives on Aug. 9, 13 years after the original Port of Miami. He has also revealed the cover, which is a homage to the 2006 artwork and finds Ross holding a pendant featuring a photo of his late friend and manager Black Bo, who passed away in 2017.
