The modern sequel of the 1992 Nollywood film ‘Living In Bondage’ will air on Netflix on May 22nd.

Living In Bondage: Breaking Free, released in cinemas in November 2019, features some of the original cast who are veteran Nollywood actors such as Kenneth Okonkwo, Kanayo O Kanayo , Bob-Manuel Udokwu as well Ramsey Noah, making his directorial debut through the film.

The film was a huge success recording the highest opening weekend for a Nigerian film for 2019 grossing ₦25.8 million. At the 2020 Edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) recently held in March 2020, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free won BIG walking away with 7 awards out of 11 nominations.

The film won the awards for Best Cinematographer, Best Director, Best Movie West Africa, Best Sound Editor (Movie / TV Series), Best Soundtrack (Movie / TV Series), Best Writer in a (Movie or TV Series) including the award for Best Overall Movie.
