“Blood & Water”: Netflix Original African Series.

Netflix announced that its second African Original Series, Blood & Water, would be premiering on May 20th. Shortly after, the official trailer was released and the teen-led series is billed to keep fans glued to their screens.

The South African tv show stars fresh face; Khosi Ngema, as well as known actors. “It as an opportunity to bring a mixture of fresh new faces alongside seasoned actors” -Nosipho Dumisa; the Director says. South African Rapper; Nasty C, is rumored to make an appearance on the series as well.

The drama-series primarily follows the life of a teenager who discovers shocking secrets about her family’s past. Trying to navigate life as a high school student, she faces problems that all teenagers encounter. These include; alcohol use, drug abuse, social media, bullying, and peer pressure. These are some issues that was evaluated in the first season of this series.

Other issues treated alongside include the underhanded and vague dealings of the wealthy. Watch the trailer below;
