A Netflix adaptation of Professor Wole Soyinka’s ‘The King’s Horsemen’ is set to be the first Yoruba film to premiere at the upcoming 47th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2022. The Toronto International Film Festival was founded in 1976, and it is the largest publicly attended film festival in the world.

The Movie titled ‘Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman’ was directed by Biyi Bandele and produced by Ebonylife Group. Stellar casts like Odunlade Adekola, Shaffy Bello, Deyemi Okanlawon, Omowunmi Dada, Brymo, and others were assembled to bring this legendary literary work to life.
