Women’s AfroBasket: Nigeria’s D’Tigress through to quarter finals

At the women’s AfroBasket in Senegal, reigning champions Nigeria are through to the quarter finals after a huge win over Cameroon – a 67 point margin of victory for D’Tigress, 106 to 39.

The world basketball federation tweeted that they had shown “no mercy”:

Also through to the last eight are the other three group winners – hosts Senegal, Mali and Mozambique.

The games on Wednesday are playoffs amongst the remaining eight teams to decide who goes through to meet the group winners in the quarters on Thursday.
