Nigeria’s Falconets on a Winning Streak

The Falconets have been at the top of the table since the tournament began, and they plan on keeping it that way. The falconets had earlier won their group game against France, and South Korea. These wins gave the team enough points to stay top of Group C’s table.

The Nigerian falconets played against Canada today, Thursday, August 18, 2022. The under-20 team proved to be unbeaten in the group stage. Their win over Canada completed their 100% winning streak in the group stage. The match ended with three goals for Nigeria and one goal for Canada. Two goals were from Esther Onyenezide and one from Chioma Olise.   

The Nigerian team will face the Netherlands in the Quarterfinals.
