In the wee hours of this past Saturday morning, at about 1:30am in West Modesto, ninety (90) miles east of San Francisco; Stanislaus County Sheriff Field Training Officer and his Trainee had no idea what was about to befall them.
Relaxed and enjoying the cool silence of night in their parked police vehicle, drifting away in dream land, but battling with self control in hopes to fulfill their obligations through the night of duty…then suddenly a thud that seemed to dazzle ones ability to realize what he was in the world.
The neighbors of West Modesto allegedly thought it was a bomb, only to realize a drunk American had rammed into the parked police vehicle.
The deputies were immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention for their injuries.
The suspected drunk driver who has been identified as 22-year-old Norberto Contreras – was arrested and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail, and is set to receive bail at $25,000.
