Mavins boss Don Jazzy has made an unusual but bold step in the music industry by signing six new talents to his record label Mavins Records. The six talents comprise two songwriters and four producers. Mavin Records announced the signing of Alexander Uwaifo (Andre Vibes), Prince Omoferi (Mbryo), Oluwadamilare Aderibigbe (Milar), King Agene David (Prestige), Jackson Okpeku (JVXN) and Chinomso Ohajianya (Sevn).
Milar and Mbryo are talented songwriters known for their spectacular lyrical touch on songs like ‘Bloody Samaritan,’ ‘Overdose,’ ‘Ijo (Labalaba),’ and ‘Feeling.’ While Andre Vibez, Prestige, Jvxn, and Sevn are specialists of sound. Andre Vibez is responsible for the 2021 hit ‘Feeling’ by Ladipoe. His most recent work is Ayra Star’s ‘Rush.’
Speaking on taking the unprecedented step, Don Jazzy says “For over sixteen years, I watched the industry grow and played my role as a producer and songwriter. It is time we give back to the creatives behind the scene. Mavin is backing new storytellers and soundmen who would redefine the sound of Afrobeats”.
