Burundian long-distance runner, Thierry Ndikumwenayo participated in the just concluded Diamond league and he did not fail to make Africa proud. The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. It was held in Monaco this year.
Thierry now holds the title of the seventh fastest man in 3000 meters history. He ran a record of 7:25.93 at the Diamond League, and his new records are the Diamond League record, Burundian record, Club record, and the World leader of the year.
