Nigerian Afro-fusion singer/songwriter Burna Boy is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar, with his smooth, rich vocals and infectious beats that blend traditional Afrobeat , dancehall, hip-hop, trap and more. Nigeria and Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi signs for Everton on transfer deadline day
Everton have completed the signing of Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi from Arsenal on a five-year deal for a fee that could rise to £34m, BBC sports reports . This makes Iwobi the most expensive Nigerian footballer of all time. Iwobi came through the ranks at the Gunners, scoring 15 goals in 149 games. The Nigeria forward is Marco Silva's seventh summer signing. "Alex was one of our main targets for this window and I believe he is a fantastic signing. Esperance declared winners of the African Champions League after controversy
Tunisian club Esperance have been declared African Champions League winners after opponents Wydad Casablanca were found guilty of abandoning the second leg of the final. BBC sports reports. This reverses an earlier decision by the Confederation of African Football's (Caf) executive committee to order a replay of the second leg. Wydad left the pitch after an equaliser they scored was disallowed by VAR. Esperance were leading 1-0 in the second leg at the time and 2-1 overall. The 1-1 draw from the first leg in Morocco stands. Both clubs had appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas), which last week found that the Caf executive committee's decision was wrong and ordered the case to be heard by Caf's disciplinary committee.
