  • Published1 month ago

Have you been to Dakar, Senegal? Over there is one of Africa’s tourist attractions. The African Renaissance Monument is a 50 meters tall bronze-medal statue.

The statue comprises a man, a woman and a child. This mighty statue is on the top of one of the double hills which is known as Collines des Mamaelles just outside Dakar.

It was designed by an Architect – Pierre Goudiaby, and the statue is looking over the Atlantic Ocean. The statue packs a lot of attraction however it has also been heavily criticized because of so many reasons; one of which is the money spent in building this great statue.
