Miss Tanzania 2025, Tracy Nabukeera, has pulled out of the Miss World 2025 beauty pageant citing a lack of support.
Releasing a statement on social media, Ms Keera said she no longer felt empowered to continue.
“After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the decision not to participate in Miss World 2025,” she said. “This was not an easy choice, but due to a lack of support, proper communication, and adequate preparation from the organization responsible, I no longer felt aligned or empowered enough to represent Tanzania on such a global stage.”
Ms Nabukeera said that her decision had come from a place of “love” and that she was grateful to have been chosen to represent Tanzania.
“This decision comes from a place of love—for myself, my supporters, and for the values I stand for. I believe that when you carry a national title, you deserve to be fully supported and equipped to thrive.”
The 2025 representative had taken over the crown from Ms Halima Kopwe, who was crowned in 2022 and represented the country at the 71st Miss World Final.
“I’m still incredibly proud to hold the title of Miss Tanzania 2023, and I will continue using my platform to inspire, serve, and make an impact—especially through my project, Step by Step, which remains at the heart of everything I do,” she added. “Thank you to everyone who’s been patient, supportive, and kind throughout this journey.”
The 72nd Miss World 2025 beauty pageant is expected to take place from May 7 to 31 at the Chowmohalla Palace in India.
Kenya will be represented by Ms Grace Ramtu, who was crowned the 2024-2025 Miss World Kenya in 2024.

Ms Ramtu has been sharing her excitement and counting down the days until she arrives in India.
“Feeling grateful and excited for this new week. Just 21 days until the journey to India for the Miss World competition,” Ms Grace said. “My heart is full of anticipation to represent Kenya on the global stage.”
