POLICE DISMISS CARDINAL OPEYEMI KADIRI FOR RIGHTS VIOLATION

Cardinal Opeyemi Kadiri has been dismissed from the police force for violation of rights. 

The police officer was enlisted into the force on the 6th of December, 2016. Cardinal Kadiri abused his authority and he was caught in the act. Kadiri stopped a commuter by the side of the road and searched his phone. The commuter took a video while the harassment was taking place. Not only did Kadiri abuse his power, he also went against the directive of the inspector general of the police force (IGP). He’s the third to be dismissed recently for right violation

The police want his dismissal to serve as a warning for other police officers to maintain order, professionalism and civility when dealing with members  of the public as they discharge their duties. His dismissal took effect on the 12th of August, 2022.
