Describing the new body of work on Instagram, Young Jonn framed it as a deeply personal journey.

He explained that ‘Blue Disco’ embodies the full spectrum of emotions he has experienced over the past year, serving as a testament to resilience and finding joy amidst hardship.

“’Blue Disco’ is every emotion I have felt in the past year,” he said. “I have had my moments of sadness, tears, and then you have got to pick yourself up and dance. You just have to get up and dance.”

To bring this vision to life, Young Jonn has assembled an impressive roster of collaborators. The album features a star-studded list of Nigerian heavyweights, including Wizkid, Rema, Asake, Olamide, and DJ Tunez, alongside international acts like Jamaican singer Shenseea, French rapper Franglish, and South Africa’s Focalistic.

The tracklist for ‘Blue Disco’ showcases a range of sounds and collaborations, including ‘Padre Nuestro’, ‘Lalala’ ft. Rema, ‘Level Up’ ft Olamide, ‘Jiggy Bop’, ‘Airdrop’, ‘Close Friends List’, ‘Full Control’, ‘2Factor’ ft. Asake and Focalistic, and ‘Go Shawty (It’s Your Birthday)’.

Other songs are ‘Accelerate’ ft. Shenseea, ‘LAPO Baby’, ‘Strika’, ‘Minivan’, ‘What Are We’ ft. Franglish, ‘Cash Flow’ ft. Wizkid, ‘Troway’, ‘Che Che’ ft. Asake, ‘Safe Space’, ‘Away’ ‘Obi’s House’ and ‘Blue Disco’.

In March 2022, the ‘Dada’ rebranded as an artiste and signed a deal with the record label Chocolate City.

He also revealed that he delved into music because of his previous desire to become an artiste.

Last year, Young Jonn unveiled his debut album ‘Jiggy Forever’.
