“Worst performance ever” — reactions trail Mavo’s ‘Feel Nice’ live session

Mavo, the fast-rising singer, has stirred reactions after a video of his ‘Feel Nice’ live session surfaced online in social media.

In the now-viral clip, the singer is seen performing the song which was released in June 2024 in a studio alongside several instrumentalists.

However, many viewers quickly pointed out that the performance sounded off, with Mavo appearing to sing out of sync with the beat and tempo of the instruments.

The video has attracted widespread criticism online, with several users advising the artiste to invest in vocal training.

Among the critics was controversial singer Portable who slammed Mavo for allegedly relying on auto tune in his hit songs while boasting that his own signees are better singers.

“Mavo, I’ve seen some celebrities collaborate with you. I don’t know it is auto-tune you use. Is this how to sing? My signees are better singers than you,” he said via an Instagram post.

A X user, however, defended Mavo, saying his songs sound better as studio recordings and are not suited for live performances.

“He doesn’t have any song for a live session. I enjoy some of his songs oo… This particular song ‘Feel Nice’ made me his fan buh Mavo no get live session song,” the user wrote.
