Boluwatife Ayodeji Balogun, the 14-year-old son of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has officially entered the music scene with the release of his highly anticipated debut EP ‘Champion’s Arrival’.

The young artiste, who now goes by the stage name Champz, announced the project’s release on social media on Tuesday, framing it as a powerful declaration of intent.

Champz described the EP as more than just a collection of songs, but “the sound of a young artist stepping fully into his power, grounded in family, love, and resilience, yet unafraid to dream loud”.

According to the post, the project reflects his confidence, creativity, and readiness to claim a spot on the world stage, positioning him as “the new face of self-made excellence”.

The five-track project features songs like ‘Grind’, ‘Superstar’, ‘Championo’ and ‘Champion Montana’ and ‘Champion Sound’, where the budding artiste makes his ambitions clear.

In ‘Champion Sound’, he pays respect to the industry’s veterans before boldly stating his own claim: “Shoutout to the OGs in the game, but it’s time to pass on the baton… I’ve got zero competition”.

Boluwatife, known as Tife, is the first son of Wizkid (born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun) and his former partner Shola Ogudu.

His Spotify biography reveals his musical goal is to create a blend of “Afro-swing, hip-hop-infused Afrobeats, and subtle hints of Afro-fusion”.

His journey into music began at an early age; he was making beats by nine and writing songs for fun by ten. His commitment solidified just before his 14th birthday when he reportedly told his mother, “Mum, I want to become a rapper; it’s my calling”.
