Nigerian Afrobeats star boy Wizkid has again put Afrobeats and Africa on the map. The singer performed at a sold-out New York show on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Wizkid sold out the 20,000-capacity Madison Square Garden after a month of the ticket sale. The organizer and fans applauded this feat, and the singer was presented with a plague. This makes Wizkid the first African artiste to sell out the arena in a month.
Wizkid performed his old and latest hits to a thrilled audience at the show. A video of American rapper Busta Rhymes praising the musician has surfaced online, and fans are hoping for a collaboration between the two. Wizkid also released the dates for his ‘More Love Less Ego’ tour of North America. The tour starts on March 3 2023, in Houston, Texas and spans 20 cities. The tour finale is in Los Angeles, California on April 7, 2022.
