Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, globally known as Wizkid, has confirmed plans for a headline concert in Lagos as the launchpad for his highly anticipated Morayo tour.
The global pop icon recently released his seventh studio album, Morayo, a heartfelt 16-track tribute to his late mother, who passed away in 2023. The album, a follow-up to his 2022 project More Love, Less Ego, has been a global sensation, breaking streaming records and featuring collaborations with Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Tiakola, and more.
This announcement marks Wizkid’s much-awaited return to the Lagos stage after two years, his last performance being at the 2022 Flytime Music Festival. Fans are thrilled to welcome back one of Africa’s biggest music exports to his hometown.
The excitement began a few days ago when Wizkid teased the Lagos concert on Instagram with a cryptic post captioned “Lagos December,” sending his followers into a frenzy.
