Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay will feature on CNN’s GLO-sponsored programme African Voices Playmakers.
The singer and composer will appear in the 30-minute magazine show to share her talents and accomplishments that have helped her rise to the pinnacle of her profession. She will also discuss the positive impacts of her charitable works.
Born on February 20, 1996, Wendy Asiamah Addo AKA Shay, started her career as a midwife and nurse before pursuing music.
Her music style combines hip-hop, highlife, and Afrobeats. Her two most successful albums are “Uber Driver” and “Africa Money.”
Wendy Shay is a brand ambassador for Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and was awarded Best New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards.
African Voices Playmakers airs on Saturdays at 8:30am, with a broadcast repeat on the same day at 12pm, and also on Sundays at 4:30am and 7pm.
