TG Omori Returns to Set, Directs Seyi Vibez’s Shaolin

Nigerian music video director ThankGod ‘TG’ Omori Jesam has made a highly anticipated return to work, months after undergoing a failed kidney transplant.

On Tuesday, February 18th, Omori shared a photo of himself back on set holding his camera via his X page. He captioned the post: “Ok, let’s see if I can still rock this b*h.” Fans and celebrities flooded the comments, celebrating his comeback.

Shortly after, a teaser for Shaolin, a new music video by Seyi Vibez directed by Omori, surfaced online. The visually striking video marks his first major project since his health struggles. Watch the teaser here.

In August 2024, Omori revealed he had undergone a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, with his only brother as the donor. However, after battling kidney issues for a year, he disclosed that he went through three transplant attempts—all unsuccessful. Despite the setbacks, he remained optimistic, calling for prayers and promising a return in 2025.

Born in Cross-River state, Omori grew up in the Agungi area of Lagos state. He started his career at age 20 after graduating from PEFTI Film Institute. He has won numerous awards for his craft.

Now, with Shaolin, Omori proves he’s back in action.
