The Nigerian movie industry makes waves in the news again as one of the biggest stars in the film industry attains a new feat in her career. Nigerian veteran actress Stephanie Linus has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Nigerian Official Selection Committee (NOSC) for the Best International Feature Film (IFF) category of the Oscars.
The actress has taken over from Chineze Anyaene-Abonyi who stepped down as the head of the committee recently. Other members appointed to the Awards committee are veteran actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, managing director for the Nigerian Film Corporation Chidia Maduekwe, president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria Victor Okhai, Andy Amenechi, Yibo Kikoko and director Izu Ojukwu.
