South African music is a combination of different musical styles such as jazz, pop, traditional indigenous music, religious choral music, and other forms of popular music from the United States. There is also lifela, a type of music composed by the sotho migrant workers. Dancing is also very common but not peculiar to South Africans as dancing is seen as an outlet.
