Skale’s 2015 hit song ‘Shake Body’ has featured as the soundtrack for a major new Adidas advertisement starring Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.
The commercial unveils Yamal’s new signature logo with Adidas.
In the clip, the 18-year-old football prodigy is seen sketching designs for the logo while enthusiastically vibing to the infectious beat of Skales’ classic Afrobeats track.
The singer shared the advertisement on his Instagram page, proudly celebrating the collaboration and dubbing Yamal the “world best”.
“World best @lamineyamal X @adidasfootball X Martina’s Son,” he wrote.
This is not the first time Yamal has propelled the song back into the spotlight.
In April, a TikTok video of the Spanish international dancing to ‘Shake Body’ went massively viral, amassing over 20 million views and 21 million likes on the platform.
The singer also revealed that he was once forced to perform ‘Shake Body’ in a police cell.
In May, he recalled how his colleague Olu Maintain offered him N1.5 million to purchase the hit song.
“I remember Olu Maintain and Tunde Ednut… Because Tunde Ednut and I used to squat together. Olu Maintain offered me N1.5 million to buy the song, by the way. I remember my manager said ‘do not sell it’,” he said.
Skales gained recognition after winning the North Central region of the Zain Tru Search contest in 2008.
