Shaboozey Joins BTS, Adele, And Harry Styles As “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Holds At No. 1

Shaboozey joins BTS, Adele, and Harry Styles as he holds at No. 1.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has been named the biggest song in America once again. In just a few hours, the smash will officially earn its tenth stay atop the Hot 100.

There aren’t many songs that have managed to rule that tally, which ranks the most-consumed cuts in the country, for double-digit frames.

As “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” dominates again, Shaboozey joins a very exclusive club of some of the biggest musical stars of the past several years who have all accomplished the same feat.

Shaboozey is now one of just seven names that have managed to keep a song at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for 10 weeks in this decade.

There are several dozen others who have accomplished the feat before then—though still fewer than 50.

The longest-running of that bunch is “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen, according to Billboard. That tune led the tally for 16 weeks just last year, and it ranks as one of the most successful No. 1s ever.

Just one week shy of Wallen’s record comes “As It Was” by Harry Styles. That track owned the Hot 100 for 15 weeks.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is up to an even dozen frames on top, though that sum could—and likely will—climb again later this year. Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” lands in fourth place, with 11 weeks earned on the throne.

At present, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is tied with two other tracks, which have spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

Adele’s “Easy on Me” and BTS’s “Butter” both topped the tally for the same length of time. Shaboozey is matched with them at the moment, but in just a week or so, he might break that tie and pass those huge hits.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” marks Shaboozey’s only No. 1—and top 10—on the Hot 100. It’s still living inside the top three on all the charts that feed into the main songs list, as it’s performing exceptionally well at radio, and in terms of streams and sales.
