Nigerian rapper Seyi Vibez has once again taken fans by surprise with the unexpected release of his new EP, Children of Africa.
Without any prior hints, the singer delivered the four-track project, which includes “Mario Kart,” “Macho,” “Shaolin,”and “Happy Song.” The EP also features a collaboration with NLE Choppa, the American rapper and YouTuber.
Children of Africa follows closely on the heels of Loseyi Professor, his third EP, which dropped in July 2024.
Born Oluwaloseyi Afolabi Balogun, Seyi Vibez has risen to fame with his distinctive sound and deep connection to the streets. Over the years, he has worked with several prominent names in the music industry.
In August 2023, he reflected on how growing up in Ikorodu, Lagos, inspired his journey into music. He also recently shared a story from his early days, revealing how, at 13, he was scammed while trying to join Wizkid’s StarBoy Entertainment.
“I sold my phone and paid the guy ₦10,000 because he claimed to be Wizkid’s recruitment officer. He told me there would be a screening, and Wizkid would judge my performance. After I sent the money, he blocked me,” he recounted.
In September 2024, reports surfaced that Seyi Vibez had parted ways with Dapper Music, his record label.
