Afrobeats sensation Rema is gearing up to drop his second single of the year, titled ‘Bout U’.

The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker took to social media to tease the upcoming single, sharing a snippet and revealing that it will drop on April 11.

“Bout U- 4/11,” he captioned the post.

The new release comes on the heels of his first single of 2025 — ‘Baby (Is It A Crime)‘ — which was released in February. The song sampled British-Nigerian singer Sade Adu’s 1985 hit song of the same title.

Born Divine Ikubor, Rema signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.

The singer recently revealed that he considers himself one of the greats of the Afrobeats genre.

The 24-year-old emphasized that his confidence is not arrogance but rather a reflection of his hard work and dedication to his craft.

Referencing Kendrick Lamar’s famous diss line, Rema distinguished his intentions, stating that he advocates for the unity of Afrobeats rather than seeking to tear others down.
