Olamide Reunites with Wizkid on ‘Kai’ Ahead of Upcoming Album

Olamide, the award-winning Nigerian rapper, has put out a new single titled ‘Kai’, featuring Grammy winner Wizkid.

The YBNL boss released the highly anticipated track on streaming platforms in the early hours of Tuesday.

In ‘Kai’, Olamide delivers his signature blend of Yoruba-English lyricism while Wizkid elevates the song with his smooth vocals and infectious rhythm.

The duo effortlessly trade verses on the laid-back, feel-good anthem, with lyrics like: “Nothing is carved in stone/ You know the night is young/ I’m feeling good, I’m in my zone.

“Roll me a fat big blunt/ And àwọn t’emi tó bá wọlé (bàbá wọlé wá)/ Don Perignon malati wole (hmmm)/ Dorime dori like what?/ Casamigo nlor/ Abi, shey make I stop?/ I’m so fly, my God!/ Mr. Bombastic, Mr. Romantic.”

‘Kai’ marks the latest collaboration between the two music giants, following previous hits such as ‘Omo To Shan’ (2011), ‘Confam Ni’ (2015), ‘Kana’ (2018), and ‘Totori’ (2019).

The rapper also announced the release date for his eleventh studio album.

In another X post, the ‘Jinja’ hitmaker disclosed that the project will be released on June 3.
