Nigerians Rally Behind Cynthia Morgan

Online chatter about the artiste once known as Cynthia Morgan, now Madrina, was the head of discussions on Twitter earlier today.

The ‘German Juice’ artiste in an Instagram Live with Sandra Ogbebor on Friday detailed the story of her exit from her former label, Northside Records, including issues with label CEO, Jude Okoye.

The former red-haired singer responsible for hit songs such as ‘Im Taken’, ‘German Juice’ and ‘Simanti Niya’ had earlier shared some information on what led to her time away from the limelight in an interview with Sydney Shocker in March which can be watched here.

In one of the biggest shows of support on social media this year, Nigerians rallied behind the musician with echoes of sympathy and words of encouragement. People, including our favourite celebrities, are expressing support for the star in anticipation of her come-back into the music industry. Davido has shared that he has a song for her. There is also talk that a GoFundMe Account has been set up towards her return to the music scene.
