Ghanaian sensation King Promise and Nigerian music star Mr Eazi have reunited for their latest single, ‘That Way,’ a smooth Afrofusion track dripping with emotion and nostalgia.
Released across all streaming platforms on Friday (Feb, 6), the song is the second official single from the duo’s upcoming joint EP ‘See What You’ve Done’.

‘That Way’ captures effortless chemistry. Promise and Mr Eazi weave their vocals and distinct sounds together seamlessly, creating a captivating soundscape dedicated to a magnetic romantic connection.
The lyrics are filled with attraction, admiration, and playful intimacy — Promise even dubs his mystery lover “my fire”.
They sing of a captivating hold and celebrate a unique bond that stands apart from the rest.
“My girl wanna roll that thing/ No dey like fighting/ Rather ride that thing/ Zagadat/ My girl she be 5 star thing/ I no be Shatta Wale but she like my thing/ I never wanna let you go/ But always wanna watch you leave/ Shawty is get a hold on me/ Nobody fit to jam our thing/ Wetin you dey do me nobody dey come close,” the lyrics reads.
The release builds on the momentum of their first collaboration, ‘See What You’ve Done,’ which dropped in 2025 and shares its title with the forthcoming EP.
Born Gregory Bortey Newman, Promise is known for his blend of Afrobeats, highlife, and R&B influences.
The singer put out his debut album ‘As Promised’ in 2019 and then released ‘5 Star’, his second album in 2022.
Mr Eazi, on the other hand, rose to stardom after the release of ‘Holl Up’, his 2015 single.
He is also the pioneer of Banku Music, a fusion sound that he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns.
In April 2023, the singer announced the formation of a new pan-African music group titled ‘Choplife Soundsystem’.
