The 2023 London Marathon witnessed the goodness of some black athletes, but one athlete in the men’s course was exceptional at the 2023 Marathon. Kenyan athlete Kelvin Kiptum participated in the 2023 London Marathon, and he ended his race in a grand style. The 23-year-old athlete smashed the previous record set by Eliud Kipchoge to finish in the second-fasted time ever.
Kelvin Kiptum finished the race in two hours one minute twenty-five seconds which is 16 seconds less than the time record set by Eliud Kipchoge. Kelvin also set the record of beating the three-time world half marathon champion Geoffrey Kamworor by three minutes, this knocks off Kipchoge’s record of finishing one minute and 12 seconds ahead of Geoffrey Kamworor in the previous marathon.
