Johnny Drille, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has come through with his new single titled ‘Last Forever’.
The ‘Palava’ hitmaker announced the project’s release across streaming platforms on Friday (Feb. 13).

Ahead of the release, the singer shared a video on Instagram detailing the creative process behind the track.
In the clip, he revealed that his deep admiration for Wande Coal’s 2012 classic ‘Forever’ inspired him to reimagine the record.
“I remember playing the first Mavin album, but I kept replaying this particular song, ‘Forever,’ which featured Wande Coal,” he said.
“It is a beautiful song. I just can’t imagine what it would sound like if I decide to redo it in 2026. I’m really curious.”
In the less than four-minute soulful song, Drille serenades his lover, expressing his desire for a love that will stand the test of time.
He also pledged devotion, protection and unwavering commitment to her.
“I’m hoping that this love will last forever, yeah/ I’m wishing that this love will never end / I’m praying that you never love another/ Baby, I’m hoping this love will never die/ So let me take you away/ Girl I want you in my world/ You gat my back and I gat yours/ Imma protect you with my life/My heart, my love / Imma give you all I get,” the lyrics read.
Born John Ighodaro, Drille joined Mavin Records in 2017 after his unique sound caught the attention of Don Jazzy, the music label boss.
Since then, he has released numerous singles that turned out to be successful.
He has also received several awards and recognition for his craft. In 2019, he won the ‘Best Alternative Song’ award at The Headies.
