In celebration of her birthday, Nigerian YouTube sensation and beauty entrepreneur/influencer Jackie Aina was recently whisked away to Santorini, Greece by her boyfriend, Denis Asamoah. Little did she know, the romantic vacation wasn’t the only surprise he had up his sleeve. Asamoah pulled off a grand gesture and asked Aina for her hand in marriage.
Aina, who turned 32 last week (August 4), revealed to Essence Weekly that she thought her boo was taking her away to celebrate her birthday. Even though they had gone ring shopping, she wasn’t expecting this trip to be the big moment. “I had no idea it was coming,” she said
The couple, according to Instagram, stayed in a private villa at the breathtaking Andronis Luxury Suites. After soaking in some sun and gorgeous views, Asamoah took Aina on a surprise adventure…blindfolded!
The couple are already making wedding plans. “We’ve talked about the tradition aspects of the wedding,” Aina, whose father is Nigerian, said “We’ll have an American wedding and a more traditional ceremony for our families. So two weddings!”
