Tory Lanez sent Megan Thee Stallion an apology hours after the shooting while she was in the hospital, according to text messages seen by TMZ.
The Canadian rapper texted her: “I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
He attempted to provide an excuse for his actions saying: “I was just too drunk.” Tory did not specifically mention the use of a gun or a shooting but he expressed remorse for actions he made writing: “None the less s**t should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible.”
His texts were never responded to.
Megan did not confirm Tory Lanez actually shot her in her feet until an Instagram Live on August 20th.
“You shot me,” she said, addressing Lanez in her video. “And you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and sh*t. Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.”
TMZ reports that Tory has not been arrested or charged for the shooting, but the L.A. County D.A. is considering charging him with felony assault with a firearm.
