Yesterday, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Ministerial Task Team on COVID-19, sealed Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja for violating Presidential directives on social distancing.
This followed a Naira Marley Show which was advertised to be a drive-in concert.

The concert turned out to be a regular show with a large crowd of people within close contact. See videos from the concert below.

While addressing newsmen, the Leader of the Task Team, Mr Ikharo Attah, said that the Mall’s management persisted in violating the COVID-19 guidelines despite caution from the Presidential Task Force. The Mall was also said to have operated outside of the permitted hours.
He explained that the Team had obtained a court order for the closure of the mall signed by a Magistrate who ordered the mall to be sealed for a period of two weeks for failure to obey the COVID-19 protocols.
