Interesting news from Netflix this morning as the streaming platform’s Nigerian division, via its Twitter account, announced a new partnership with Nigerian producer, Mo Abudu and celebrated Nigerian writers, Prof. Wole Soyinka and Lola Shoneyin.
The partnership is created for the series adaptation of Lola Shoneyin’s comic novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives and Prof. Wole Soyinka’s colonial-era play, Death and the King’s Horseman.
More exciting news is that Mo Abudu’s Ebony Life TV is set to produce two new Nigerian originals and a series for Netflix. In case you’ve lost count, because of this partnership, we have three Nigerian series and two Nigerian Netlix Original movies coming to our screens. The anticipation begins!
