5 Nigerian Artists Recently Accused Of Rape

Rape is fast becoming a very serious issue in Nigeria as a good number of ladies have been reported dead just because some guys forcefully have sexual intercourse with them.

Rape victims who survived the incident have come out to narrate their story and some celebrities names are mentioned amidst different rape stories

Rape cases in Nigeria are on a significant rise, and the boldness of victims to call out their abusers is also on the rise. Thanks to the wokness of social media setting up a platform for people to share their stories, mention their abusers, and shame them publicly. 

Although, most of these cases spoken about remain alleged, the number and magnitude of celebrities and Afrobeats artistes mentioned are alarming.

1. D’banj: D’banj was accused by Ese, a well known talent manager, of how he raped his friend after a party at a hotel in Victoria Island.

2. Brymo: Brymo was accused by a lady on Twitter. She stated that Brymo forcefully got his way through into her in his house.

3. Peruzzi: Another lady on Twitter with name Princess accused singer of rape in 2012 despite the fact that Peruzzi was dating her friend at that time.

4. Zoro: Igbo Rap artiste – Zoro, got his name soiled as a rapist by another lady from Twitter. The lady with Twitter handle @mystic_sweetness narrated that Zoro raped her after asking her out, even when she didn’t give him the green light to date him.

5. Ichaba:  DMW signee, Ichaba was also caught up in the rape controversy. A lady identified as @millannnnnnn on Instagram, accused the singer is of raping her on October 27th, 2019 in a hotel in Ibadan. She shared the screenshots and voice notes as evidence to prove that Ichaba actually raped her.
