Kisumu-based Kenyan artiste Gabriel Washington Ogonda popularly known as Gabiro Mtu Necessary has reached a new milestone in his music career, and the musician is certainly delighted. Gabiro is now the most streamed musician in Kisumu and Western Kenyan region. Gabiro Mtu surpassed other artistes from the city to claim the title after getting two million streams on Boomplay. Gabiro is grateful to his fans for helping him attain this milestone.
The rapper’s debut album ‘Saint John’ released on April 29, 2022, is on its way to hitting 500,000 streams on Boomplay, while it approaches one million marks on other platforms. Gabiro has also been admitted into the Grammy’s Recording Academy as a voting member. This means that he is now able to vote for musicians, songwriters, and composers in the coveted awards.
