Walt Disney Animations in conjunction with Kugali Media has released the official trailer for their animated series titled ‘Iwaju.’ The animated series is based on a futuristic Lagos and will be released exclusively on the American streaming platform Disney +. The long-awaited series is set to be released on February 28, 2024, after three years of production.
Written by Adeola Hudson and Halima Hudson, Iwaju is based on the experiences of Tola who hails from an island but decides to explore Lagos alongside her friend Kole. The animated series which centers around the social construct in Nigeria is however not going to be available for Nigerians to stream as the exclusive platform for release is not accessible to Nigerians.
