Afrobeats icon Davido has officially unveiled the tracklist for his much-anticipated album 5ive, set for release on April 18.
The award-winning artist shared a striking promotional video across his social media platforms, accompanied by a reflective message:
“Legacy is not what you leave behind, but what you breathe into the future. 72 hours away! Thank you for the love & support.”
5ive promises to be a genre-spanning project with a powerful mix of Nigerian, Caribbean, American, and European influences. On the homefront, the album features top Afrobeats stars like Omah Lay and Victony, as well as OdumoduBlvck and Chike, the latter appearing on the previously released single “Fund.”
Leading the album’s international roster is Jamaican rising star YG Marley, featured on “Awuke,” the album’s first single.
Other Caribbean artists on the tracklist include dancehall queen Shensea and breakout artist 450.
Davido also reunites with longtime collaborator Chris Brown, and adds major names like three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét and Latin pop sensation Becky G. South African star Musa Keys joins the lineup once again after their hit collab “Unavailable” from Davido’s Grammy-nominated Timeless album.
Expanding his global reach, Davido brings in French hitmakers Dadju and Tay C — reinforcing his appeal across diverse markets and highlighting his status as a true global artist.
During a recent Twitch livestream with alternative music star and streamer Cruel Santino, Davido opened up about the meaning behind the album title 5ive, giving fans a glimpse into the personal inspiration driving this next chapter.
Ahead of the release, Davido has already dropped three singles from the project, with the latest being the energetic Amapiano anthem “Be There Still” — a dancefloor-ready teaser of what’s to come.
