American R&B superstar Chris Brown has publicly declared Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Wizkid as his “brother for life.”
Revealing his reasons, Chris Brown explained that he has been performing all his life around America but had not gone to the UK until Wizkid invited him to his O2 arena concert in 2021.
He added that Wizkid paid for his expenses and he was amazed by his utmost love towards him.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and had not gone there for any show before. One day, Wiz called and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his 02 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid is my brother for life.”
Recall that Brown was banned from the UK in 2009, after pleading guilty to assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna.
In 2010, the UK government reportedly cited his conviction as the reason for denying him entry. The development affected his ability to perform there for some time.
Chris Brown and Wizkid have a history of musical synergy, having collaborated on hits like “African Bad Gyal.”
Their joint performances, including Wizkid’s appearance on Chris Brown’s “One Hell of a Nite” world tour in 2016, have electrified audiences worldwide.
