Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy will perform at Manchester’s Co-op Live on April 21, 2025.
The one-off show is presented by Seat Unique, a ticket seller focusing on VIP and hospitality tickets to UK venues.
For the event, announced as a “UK Arena Exclusive” by the venue, Seat Unique will sell a variety of premium packages and take over the Co-op Backstage Club, offering fans access to exclusive experiences before and after Burna Boy takes the stage.
The 23,500-capacity Co-op Live, which opened its doors in May 2024, will allow fans the opportunity to dine and drink at its backstage area, which holds up to 700 people.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Burna Boy for his upcoming UK shows at Co-op Live,” Robin Sherry, Founder and CEO at Seat Unique, said. “Over the last 18 months, we’ve seen demand for ‘premium live’ in Manchester soar, as the city continues to attract both global superstars and grass-root talent.
“Fans of all genres have already shown us how much they value Manchester’s live music scene, and Seat Unique wants to give them seamless and official access to the immersive live experiences they are seeking.”
The news follows Burna Boy’s forthcoming eighth studio album, No Sign Of Weakness, arriving in 2025. He also released a single from the upcoming project, titled “Bundle By Bundle.”
Gaining recognition in 2011 after releasing Burn Notice mixtape, Burna Boy has released seven studio albums and received Grammy nominations for six times since then. With his fifth studio album Twice as Tall, the Nigerian reggae/afrobeats singer won Grammy for Best World Music Album.
Last year’s I Told Them… album went to No. 1 in the UK, making him the first Nigerian artist to earn that title. The 2023 record produced hits “Taliban II” with Byron Messia and “Sittin On Top of the World” with 21 Savage. I Told Them… follows 2022’s Love, Damini, which garnered attention for tracks “Last Last” and “For My Hand” with Ed Sheeran.
Burna Boy is considered the first African artist to have two albums garner over 1 billion streams on Spotify. Known for his ‘Afro-fusion’ genre mixing hip-hop, R&B, and afrobeats, the singer has collaborated with artist like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Wizkid, and more to-date.
