Burna Boy Shows Love to His Community, Pays Hospital Bills and School Fees

Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy recently demonstrated his commitment to giving back to his community. He made a surprise visit to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), where he generously paid the medical bills of all patients.

Videos from the visit show Burna Boy exiting the hospital to a euphoric reception from fans, who praised his kindness. 

The Afrobeats superstar also shared cash with University of Port Harcourt students, showing his support for education.

Burna Boy’s words, “Na only love I come show my people o, those people wey need financial assistance like school fees,” Burna Boy said during his brief speech, which was cut short due to the excitement from the crowd. 

This act of kindness has gone viral, showcasing Burna Boy’s understanding of the power and responsibility that comes with fame.

Born in Port Harcourt on July 2, 1991, Burna Boy has a strong connection to the city, where he also interned at Rhythm 93.7 FM after completing his master’s degree at the University of Sussex. 

He has since become a renowned artist, winning numerous awards, including a BET Award for Best International Act, a Grammy for Best Global Music Album, and a Billboard Music Award for Top Afrobeats Artist, among others. 

His performance at the Grammy Awards made history as the first by an African artist.

Burna Boy’s visit to UPTH and his generosity towards students have left a lasting impact, cementing his status as a beloved and responsible celebrity. As he said, “Na only love I come show my people o,” truly showing that love and kindness know no bounds.
