Ayisha Osori, Former Burkina Faso PM Join T&M Advisory Board

Thoughts and Mace Advisory (T&M), a policy and governance consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Ayisha Osori and Lassina Zerbo to its newly inaugurated international advisory board.

Osori, is a director at Open Society Foundations and an advocate for gender equality, while and Zerbo, the former prime minister of Burkina Faso and an expert in global security and governance.

Others joining the board are Federico Borello, interim executive director at Human Rights Watch; Salim Mohamed, co-founder of Carolina for Kibera; and Amy Towers, a philanthropist and board chair at Rutgers University.

T&M, which operates in Nigeria, Senegal, and beyond, says the board will provide strategic guidance and expertise to support civil society organisations and policy reforms.

A statement on Monday by Udo Ilo, T&M’s founding partner, said the appointments reflect its commitment to fostering global collaboration and leveraging diverse expertise to enhance the impact of civil society organisations (CSOs) globally.

“This milestone follows T&M’s continued expansion across the continent, including its recent entry into Senegal earlier this year. The newly appointed members bring a wealth of experience from various fields, including human rights, gender equality, economic development, and humanitarian work,” the statement reads.

“By harnessing the expertise of these distinguished leaders, T&M is strengthening its capacity to address complex challenges in public policy, and civil society resilience ensuring that its work remains innovative, impactful, and globally relevant.

“The launch of the International Advisory Board underscores T&M’s commitment to fostering global collaboration and leveraging diverse expertise to enhance the impact of its work,” the firm added.

“By uniting visionary leaders across sectors, T&M is positioned to provide innovative solutions, support grassroots organizations, and influence policy reforms that drive long-term societal progress.”
