Nigerian superstar Asake’s collaboration with British rapper Central Cee has been featured on the NBA 2K25 season 2 soundtrack album.
This exciting collaboration is part of NBA 2K25’s partnership with EMPIRE, a renowned record label.
“Wave,” which is one of the songs off Asake’s third album “Lungu Boy,” is featured on the NBA Season 2 soundtrack album.
Asake is the only Afrobeats artist on the album, marking a consecutive appearances for Afrobeats following Adekunle Gold’s “Party No Dey Stop,” which features Zinoleesky.
Asake joins Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy as Nigerian pop stars featured on the popular game’s soundtrack, which has sold over 9 million units for its 2024 version.
Asake’s inclusion reflects his global superstar status, having made a name for himself as one of Afrobeat’s most prolific hitmakers. Since breaking into the mainstream in 2022, Asake has enjoyed commercial success thanks to a collection of chart-topping and record-breaking hit records.
Recently, he concluded his “Lungu Boy” tour, selling out several major venues, including Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Garden, and Capital One Arena. He also became only the third Nigerian artist to headline the O2 Arena.
