Nigerian superstar Asake is gearing up for the release of his third album, “Lungu Boy”, on August 9, 2024.
Since bursting into the mainstream in 2022, Asake has been on a steady ascension to global stardom, with a string of hit singles and two successful albums under his belt.
The upcoming album boasts an impressive lineup of featured artists, including Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid, American superstar Travis Scott, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, and Brazilian singer Ludmila
Asake’s previous collaborations with artists like Zlatan, Ayra Starr, Victony, Tems, and CentralCee have set the stage for this upcoming album.
His 2024 releases, “Only Me” and “Wave” featuring Central Cee, have already generated buzz, with the latter being one of the tracks on the “Lungu Boy” album.
The album release coincides with Asake’s upcoming “Lungu Boy” tour, which includes stops at the iconic O2 Arena and Madison Square Garden. This will make him only the fourth Nigerian artist to headline the latter venue.
Asake’s debut album “Mr. Money With The Vibes” won the Album of the Year prize at the 2023 Headies Awards, while his second album “Work of Art” had the hit single “Lonely At The Top”, which set the record for longest charting song on TurnTable Top 100.
