AKA’s ‘Mass Country’ earns new certifications

Weeks after the death of South African rapper AKA, his music still lives on. The rapper’s album ‘Mass Country’ was released posthumously on February 24, 2023, and it did not disappoint in dominating the charts and breaking numerous records. ‘Lemons (Lemonades)’ featuring South African rapper Nasty C was certified 5x platinum on April 26, 2023, and it’s a huge milestone for artists in the music industry.

Following the announcement, more of the songs on the album has now been certified gold and platinum. The rapper’s management took to his social media accounts to announce the songs that have now achieved the latest feat. ‘Company’ was announced to have gone platinum, while ‘Mbuzi,’ ‘Dangerous,’ and ‘Prada’ have been certified gold. Fans are looking forward to the gold-certified songs going platinum as the rapper’s legacy continues.
