Over the years, there have been really good and iconic Record Label compilation albums where the Label’s signees lock heads together to create a unified body of work.
Empire Mates State of Mind by the EME label which was released in 2012 is a perfect example. Another example is YBNL Mafia Family which was released in 2018.
Mavin Records CEO, Don Jazzy has revealed an album of that nature would be arriving from the label before the end of the year. Mavin Records has never had a joint album with all its signees. There have been singles but no album. An example is the song ‘Overloading’ by Mavins Records which has been played through almost every speaker. This single has been a hit.
If this joint album by MAVIN materializes, it will feature its signees including Rema, Ruger, Ayra Starr, Magixx, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Bayanni, Boy Spyce & more. It’s something the Nigerian music industry should look forward to.
