After months of anticipation, Afrobeats superstars Wizkid and Asake have finally released the first volume of their joint extended play, titled ‘Real Vol. 1’.

The duo announced the project simultaneously via their respective Instagram accounts. Initially slated for a late December 2025 release, the EP’s unveiling was delayed until now, with the lead single ‘Jogodo’ premiering on January 16.

The track ‘Jogodo’ exemplifies the synergy between the two artists, masterfully blending Wizkid’s smooth, melodic flow with Asake’s signature energetic and gritty delivery.

The result is a versatile soundscape that is both laid-back and propulsive, appealing to listeners in both relaxed and high-energy settings.

The EP features four tracks in total: ‘Jogodo’, ‘Turbulence’, ‘Iskolodo’, and ‘Alaye’. An official music video for ‘Turbulence’ has also been released alongside the project.

While Wizkid and Asake have collaborated before — Wizkid featured Asake on ‘Bad Girl’ from his 2024 album ‘Morayo,’ and Asake enlisted Wizkid for ‘MMS’ on his debut ‘Lungu Boy’ — this marks their first full collaborative EP.

Wizkid, a foundational figure in Afrobeats’ “big 3” and a global award-winner, joins forces with Asake, who has rapidly cemented his status as one of Nigeria’s foremost and most dynamic artistes.
