Asake, the Nigerian singer, has announced that his African tour will kick off in December.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the ‘Sungba’ hitmaker revealed that the tour is named after his debut studio album, ‘Mr Money’.
The tour is scheduled to begin in December. According to the flyer, shows will be held in Lagos on December 24, Nairobi on December 20, and Côte d’Ivoire on December 27.
It also noted that more countries and dates will be announced soon.
Born Ahmed Ololade, Asake rose to fame in 2020 with his hit song ‘Lady’. The singer joined YBNL in February 2022.
He has released three studio albums, ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ (2022), ‘Work of Art’ (2023) and ‘Lungu Boy’ (2024).
The Afrobeats sensation was nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category. He, however, lost the category to colleague Tems.
Asake recently released the single ‘Military’ wherein he gave a shout-out to Olamide, acknowledging the key role the rapper played in his career.
He also expressed gratitude for Olamide’s support and guidance, which have helped shape him into the artiste he is today.
In February, he also delivered his first single ‘Why Love’ under his new label ‘Giran Republic’.
This marks a new chapter in his career after parting ways with YBNL Nation, the record label owned by Olamide.
