Billboard has unveiled its first-ever ranking of the 50 Greatest Afrobeats Songs of All Time, celebrating the genre’s evolution from West Africa to the global stage.
Released on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the list highlights tracks that defined Afrobeats, shaped its cultural identity, and pushed the sound beyond borders through influence, impact, and commercial success.
At No. 1 is 2Baba’s timeless classic “African Queen”, followed by Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba”, Flavour’s “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)”, Wizkid and Tems’ “Essence”, and Rema’s global smash “Calm Down.”
Other standout entries include CKay’s “Love Nwantiti”, D’banj’s “Oliver Twist”, Davido’s “Fall”, Burna Boy’s “Ye”, and P-Square and Akon’s “Chop My Money (Remix).”
